The Instrumentation & Electrical Services Support Group (I&E) allows Irwin to provide a complete package of Mechanical, Civil, Instrumentation and Electrical services to the industrial community. The group is staffed with specialists in Distributed Control Systems (DCS) and Automated Control Systems (PLC) and can provide technicians for power plant outages or process system turnarounds as well as long-term maintenance assignments.

The group provides I & E support to Irwin's Contract Maintenance, Energy and Construction Groups as needed but also provides services on a stand-alone basis. Within the group are all of the components of a full service I & E organization; estimating, scheduling and project controls as well as ISA Certified Control Systems Technicians.
