IRWIN Industries strives to improve the communities where we do business by supporting organizations that focus on youth, social services and education.

Our partnerships with local non-profit organizations include programs that deal with family literacy, children’s services, and technical and higher education. We urge you to join us in supporting the following organizations:

Long Beach City College Pacific Coast Campus Vocational Associates

For more than eight years, IRWIN has been a proud participant in the Long Beach City College PCC Vocational Associates, an associate group of the Long Beach City College Foundation dedicated to the support of vocational and technical education. Each year, IRWIN contributes to the group’s Outstanding Student Scholarship Fund. The scholarships are awarded to the school’s outstanding vocational students based on academic and technical performance and dedication. IRWIN also is represented on the PCC Vocational Associates Board of Directors, which serves as a resource for the College’s faculty and students.

Long Beach Public Library Foundation

IRWIN is pleased to support the Long Beach Public Library Foundation in its quest to increase literacy and improve public access to information by enlisting private support to supplement and enrich the basic services provided by the Long Beach Public Library. The Long Beach Public Library's 12 branches serve the city's 500,000-plus residents, providing child and adult literacy programs, homework assistance, and multi-media learning programs, as well as traditional library services.

Long Beach ALIVE (Alternatives to Living in a Violent Environment)

Family violence is a complicated social problem with many facets, including physical, sexual and emotional abuse and neglect, as well as spousal battery. IRWIN is pleased to have been instrumental in the formation of Long Beach ALIVE (Alternatives to Living in a Violent Environment) – a community-based organization formed in 1989 to effectively address family violence. Over the years we have continued to support Long Beach ALIVE by providing cash and in-kind donations, as well as volunteers who instruct children in recognizing and understanding how violence can occur in families and what they can do if they are victims.
